Objective
To investigate the impact of a personalized physical exercise program using DAVID Spine Concept devices on reducing back pain, improving spinal mobility and strength, and enhancing the quality of life in adolescents with recurrent back pain.
Methods
- Participants: 11 female adolescents aged 12-17 with frequent back pain and no prior physical training.
- Equipment: DAVID Spine Concept devices (G-LINE series) and DAVID-EVE software for assessment.-
- Program Design:
- 12-week duration, 2-3 sessions per week, totaling 24 sessions.
- Segmented into four progressive stages with personalized exercises. - Assessment Tools:
- Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for pain measurement.
- Short Form-36 (SF-36) questionnaire for quality of life evaluation.
- Mobility and isometric strength testing using DAVID devices. - Data Collection: Baseline and post-treatment evaluations compared to assess outcomes.
Outcome
- Pain reduction of 67% as measured by VAS.
- Statistically significant improvements in general health, physical, and emotional status (80-100%).
- Enhanced spinal mobility and muscle strength.
- Improved quality of life metrics as evidenced by SF-36 scores.
- Validation of the DAVID Spine Concept as an effective therapy for adolescent back pain, supporting its adoption in musculoskeletal treatment programs
